Madame
Introducing MADAME, an armchair designed by Claudio Bellini for Natuzzi.
Designed by Claudio Bellini for Natuzzi, the Madame armchair embodies a refined dialogue between generous comfort and formal restraint. Its soft, enveloping silhouette is lifted by a slender swivel base, which introduces a precise verticality while allowing fluid, effortless movement. At the heart of the design is the relationship between the compact, rounded volume of the seat and the visual lightness of its support: a carefully calibrated contrast between structural solidity and lightness.
Another distinctive feature of Madame is the sartorial treatment of the upholstery: the armrests feature an elegant integrated fold that forms a stylized envelope-shaped motif, subtly evoking a knot. This motif is repeated in the backrest cushion, creating a coherent formal language that enriches the chair’s minimalist geometry with a subtle decorative depth. The upholstery, available in both leather and fabric, accentuates the sinuous curves and delicate details, reinforcing the harmonious tension between the generous, rounded volume and the slim base.
