Casa C
Presenting Casa C, a recently renowed private residence in Milano.
When old Milan meets new Milan.Originally from 1922 and designed by architect Giuseppe De Finetti, a student of Adolf Loos, this apartment in the Casa della Meridiana complex was recently renovated by architect Claudio Bellini with an approach that was as respectful of the period and conservative as possible. The building is influenced by the works of Loos and Hoffmann and is marked by the sobriety characteristic of the “Novecento” style, itself inspired by early 19th-century Milanese neoclassicism.
The original furnishings, designed by De Finetti himself, have been retained. Original elements, such as handles, decorative cornices and moldings, have been carefully restored or replicated. Areas already touched by previous renovations, which had altered their historic character, were renovated by adopting a more modern approach.
A new and more contemporary color palette, new floors, some graphic touches of black, and many designer pieces complete the interior design project.
